Samsung Se 506Cb Windows 10 At AllBut does it work with Blu-Ray discs I, as have others, have been able to use the drive with CDs and DVDs, but when you put in a BD it fails. I tried to upgrade firmware and split cables, but it would not work on blu-ray, only DVD. PowerDVD is not free, but maybe there is a demo version I hope this will help. I usually use VLC to play my dvdsblu-rays, I saw their troubleshoot post regarding Blu-ray, followed their instructions but it didnt fix it for me, and thats when I thought I will check if it is a samsung driver vs windows 10 problem. Im upset to know that Samsung stopped supporting this product, so Ill surely not recommend them to anyone. But for those who already own it, I think it is worth seeing if BabelBabbels solution, with the latest Cyberlink PowerDVD, will now work with you. Samsung Se 506Cb Trial Version OfThere is a trial version of PowerDVD that you could start with. ![]() When I pluged it to the USB 3.0, the blu-ray played but it kept lagging horribly, so make sure to try the original cord with the USB 2.0 plug. Are you suggesting i should buy old USB B-Type cables from different producers on Amazon hoping one of them will work cmon Another unsatisfied customer. Really shouldnt take Samsung very long if theyd just take the time to look into this.but based on how long this thread has been open, my hopes arent high. It worked before, but after I havent used it like for a year or a little more it doesnt play BD-Discs anymore, only DVD and CD. Calling the Customer Support doesnt help, they gave me a number that I cannot seem to reach. The thing I want to ask, is, that you all seem to have the problem with Windows 10. I, however, am still using Windows 8.1, and the writer worked on my laptop with Windows 8.1 fine, but didnt anymore. So can this problem also occure on Windows 8.1, is it possible that updates of my laptop would render it uncompatible with the Blu-Ray Writer even though I didnt change to Windows 10 Thanks for your answer in advance.
